Meet the team

Our executive team is responsible for the direction and leadership of First4Skills. Their job is to make sure we deliver the best possible service to all of our learners, employers and partners. Here are some of the people who make up our over 200 strong team and their stories:

Sue Price
Sue Price
Chief Executive Officer

As CEO Sue leads First4Skills and is an executive member of the City of Liverpool College.
Sue has a wealth of experience in our sector, as a Director of both the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) and National Apprenticeship Service (NAS), with a proven track record in building partnerships, creating opportunities to drive apprenticeship growth nationally and in the delivery of high quality programmes of learning that meet the needs of employers.
Phil Hitchcox

Director of Commercial & Business Development

Phil is responsible for leading on new business, Corporate client growth, product development and delivering an exceptional service to our national and regional clients and wider partner network.
He has spent a number of years in the further education and work-based learning industry; including the Skills Funding Agency, supporting large employers with direct funding contracts implement and develop their national skills and apprenticeship programmes, working with the likes of British Gas, BAE Systems, npower, MITIE PLC, HSBC and Toni & Guy.

Head of Strategic Development

Rachel is responsible for supporting the executive team in the delivery of our business plan. Rachel’s areas of expertise are centred on project, people and process management. She has a good working knowledge of all aspects of apprenticeship funding and delivery methodologies.

Executive Assistant Apprentice

Elliott is the most recent addition to the team and he is currently undertaking an advanced apprenticeship in business administration. His primary function is to support the executive team to manage elements of their day-to-day administrative challenges!
Amanda Kerr
Amanda Kerr
Head of Clients Services

Amanda works with our clients to ensure that we are providing innovative solutions to meet their training and organisational needs and maximising their potential for growth. She also works with new business opportunities with new clients and in new and emerging sectors. Part of her role is to support the team to ensure we have the tools and information to provide an exemplar customer experience to all our clients. She has over 10 years’ experience within the funded learning sector in client facing roles.
Saskia Jamieson
Saskia Jamieson
Head of Quality

Saskia’s role comprises many different aspects but the main areas of responsibility are managing the awarding organisations and driving quality improvement through the business. She is chair of the Quality Action Group and a member of the Quality sub group. She leads on self-assessment; writes the self-assessment report and the national quality plan. Saskia is the lead for Learner Voice and works closely with the NUS. She manages the Matrix accreditation and acts as nominee for Ofsted inspections.
